Origin:
Banarasi sarees originate from the city of Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). These are well known for the Mughal Era inspired designs in golden as well as silver brocade or Zari.
Fabric:
Art silk is manufactured by synthetic fibres like rayon. It's light in weight and is soft on the skin for comfort in summers.
Ornamentation:
Zari work is known for the art of weaving threads in golden and silver colours. It involves the process of twisting a flattened metallic strip, which sometimes is made from pure gold and silver.
